School on Informatics Education Research (SCHIER) in Europe.

The urgent need for investment in Informatics Education has been 
highlighted by the recent Recommendation 
<https://www.consilium.europa.eu/en/press/press-releases/2023/11/23/digital-skills-and-competences-and-successful-digital-education-and-training-fit-for-the-digital-era/> 
of the Council of the EU. Being *the first and only summer school in 
Informatics Education Research in Europe*, SCHIER offers *PhD students, 
postdocs, or researchers in informatics and related fields* an immersion 
in cutting-edge research methods and theories necessary to be mastered 
to do research in Informatics Education. The School also aims at 
enlarging and consolidating a truly European community of researchers in 
this field. At SCHIER, participants can:

  * *Explore topics relevant to becoming a successful researcher in
    Informatics Education,* from the more foundational subjects to the
    more application-focused ones.
  * *Learn from renowned experts:* gain invaluable knowledge and
    experience from distinguished academic and industry scholars
    specializing in informatics and education research.
