are partnering with IBM Research Europe to launch the first Summer
School on Informatics Education Research (SCHIER) in Europe. </p>

urgent need for investment in Informatics Education has been
highlighted by the recent <span style="text-decoration:none;"><a
href="https://www.consilium.europa.eu/en/press/press-releases/2023/11/23/digital-skills-and-competences-and-successful-digital-education-and-training-fit-for-the-digital-era/">Recommendation</a></span>
of the Council of the EU. Being <b>the first and only summer
school in Informatics Education Research in Europe</b>, SCHIER
offers <b>PhD students, postdocs, or researchers in informatics
and related fields</b> an immersion in cutting-edge research
methods and theories necessary to be mastered to do research in
Informatics Education. The School also aims at enlarging and
consolidating a truly European community of researchers in this
