Informatics Europe has issued a *Policy Statement

and Call to Action on Open Access Publishing* in response to the 
escalating financial pressures created by high Article Processing 
Charges (APCs) and the growing dominance of the Gold Open Access model. 
Adopted by the Board, the statement *outlines key concerns and offers 
recommendations to support fair and sustainable scholarly publishing 
practices.*
