the Informatics Europe Best Dissertation Award</b>. This
prestigious Award recognises excellent PhD dissertations in
Informatics, empowers emerging Informatics researchers and helps
bring their work to a broader audience.</p>

Exclusive Opportunity: Invitation to publish in a dedicated
Springer series</b></p>

<p><b>All Informatics Europe members are invited to nominate or
endorse an outstanding PhD dissertation defended in the
academic years 2023-2024 or 2024-2025 (on or before December
31, 2024).</b><br>
</p>
<p>The Award Committee will evaluate nominations based on:<br>
</p>
<ul>
<li>originality of research and methodology</li>
<li>impact and quality of achieved results</li>
<li>societal relevance</li>
<li>clarity and quality of exposition</li>
</ul>
<p>Should more than one dissertation reach an equivalent top
score, the one with the highest societal impact score will be
selected.</p>
<p>To expand the reach of outstanding research, the winner will be
invited to present their work at the <a
href="https://www.informatics-europe.org/ecss/home.html"
moz-do-not-send="true">European Informatics Leaders Summit</a>
(ECSS 2025) and to publish their work in a dedicated Springer
series. If the winning dissertation is already published with an
ISBN or under copyright protection, the Committee will award the
publishing opportunity to the best unpublished dissertation
submitted.</p>
