<p><font face="Calibri">Informatics Europe is happy to share with
the community a number of recent key reports and outcomes:<br>

<li><font face="Calibri">The report "<a moz-do-not-send="true"
href="http://www.informatics-europe.org/component/phocadownload/category/10-reports.html?download=75:informatics_for_all_2018">Informatics
for All: The Strategy</a>" which sets a </font>comprehensive
and ambitious plan to establish Informatics as an essential
discipline for students in Europe at all levels throughout the
educational system. “Informatics for All: The Strategy” builds
on an earlier report jointly developed by the ACM Europe Council
and Informatics Europe, “<a
href="http://www.informatics-europe.org/component/phocadownload/category/10-reports.html?download=60:cece-report"
target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Informatics
Education in Europe: Are We All in the Same Boat?</a>” which
presented the state of relevant education and related teacher
training across Europe. Its conclusions highlighted the serious
need for an initiative to ensure that Informatics is properly
recognised within the educational systems so that Europe is well
placed to compete globally in reaping the benefits that flow
from Informatics.</li>

<font face="Calibri">Informatics for All was the center of a
discussion panel held in Brussels on March 15 where members of
European Commission, Directorate DG Education and DG </font><font
face="Calibri">Connect joined members of the Informatics Europe
Board and the ACM Europe Council</font><font face="Calibri"> in a
lively and fruitful discussion about the recommendations of the
paper and the way ahead of the challenging proposal of offering
