Streamlining our communications: one IE mailing list and a dedicated email address

Dear colleagues,

To streamline our communications and better reflect how we engage with 
the community, we will merge the two existing public subscriptions 
(*Bulletin* and *ie-announce*) into a *single ie-announce mailing list*. 
The reasons that once justified two separate lists no longer apply, and 
this change will help ensure clearer, more consistent outreach.

Subscribers can expect a *moderate and predictable flow of messages*: 
approximately *6 Bulletins*, *12-15 announcements* per year (covering 
events, calls, policy updates, and opportunities), plus our *new IE 
magazine*, to be published *twice a year*. No action is required if you 
are already subscribed to either list, your subscription will carry over 
automatically.

These communications will be sent from a *new dedicated email address*: 
communications at informatics-europe.org. We recommend saving this address 
to avoid messages being flagged as spam.

*_For IE representatives:_ *we kindly invite you to share this message 
within your faculty and encourage individual subscription to the 
ie-announce list, so your colleagues can stay up to date and fully 
benefit from the institutional Informatics Europe membership.

The *ie-members* mailing list and the 
administration at informatics-europe.org address both remain active and 
will be used only for administrative and members' 
representative-specific matters not communicated via ie-announce.
