[ie-announce] Deadline Extension - June 30: Professional Development Workshop for Early Career Researchers at ECSS 2021

Dear Colleagues,

Informatics Europe is extending the submission deadline for the 
*Professional Development Workshop for Early Career Researchers* 
<https://www.informatics-europe.org/ecss/program/career-development-workshop.html> 
to *30 June*. The workshop will take place in Madrid as part of the ECSS 
2021 on *Monday 25 October 2021*.

The goal of the workshop, organised by Elisabetta Di Nitto 
<https://dinitto.faculty.polimi.it> (Politecnico di Milano) and Standa 
Živný <https://www.cs.ox.ac.uk/standa.zivny/> (University of Oxford), is 
to support early career researchers (PhD students and Postdocs) in the 
development of their soft skills related to presentation abilities, 
networking, developing a research plan, and connections to industry.

Participants of the workshop will attend invited talks and have the 
opportunity to actively participate in discussions. Moreover, they can 
submit their CV and a research statement, on which they will receive 
feedback and suggestions for improvement. The final version of the 
accepted research statements will be published in the workshop 
proceedings as open access and the early career researchers will present 
them in front of the broader ECCS audience in the form of a poster.

*How to submit*

CVs (up to 2 pages) and research statements (up to 5 pages) formatted in 
the LIPICS style should be merged in a single file and submitted via

form please include also the title of your research, a short abstract 
summarizing in a couple of lines your research statement as a set of 
relevant keywords.

  * NEW: Camera-ready contributions 15 September 2021
  * Workshop date 25 October 2021
