ACM Europe and Informatics Europe, two premier European organizations
for Computer Science, have established the "Committee on European

analyze, and interpret data pertaining to the current state of
informatics education in European schools and to prepare recommendations
to policymakers and administrators.
The Committee invites applications for a two-year, part-time position of a
*Research Assistant (pay scale 13 TV-L, 0.6 fte)*
starting May 1, 2014, or earlier if possible. The position is attached
to the group of the committee's chair, Prof. Dr. Jan Vahrenhold, at the
Department of Computer Science, Westfaelische Wilhelms-Universitaet
Muenster, Germany.
The duties of the person to be hired include data collection,
communication with stakeholders in Europe, and participation in the
preparation of the final report.
The successful candidate has an M.Sc. or M.Ed. in computer science. She

mutual agreement, the position can be used to initiate working towards a
PhD or postdoctoral lecturer qualification in an area closely related to
the project where the candidate will be jointly supervised by Prof. Dr.
Michael E. Caspersen (Aarhus University, co-chair) and Prof. Dr. Jan
Vahrenhold.
We actively encourage applications from suitably qualified women. Female
candidates with equivalent qualifications and academic achievements will
be preferentially considered. We also welcome applications from
candidates with severe disabilities. Disabled candidates with equivalent
qualifications will be preferentially considered.
